    Design and Thermo-Optical Optimization of a Solar Parabolic Trough Collector

    In this graduation project, we focused on the design, construction, and optimization of a Parabolic Trough Collector (PTC). Extensive efforts were made to build the PTC using various materials and innovative techniques. numerous tests were conducted to enhance the PTC performance, experimenting with single tube, double tube, and multi-pass absorber setups. The findings demonstrate a 63% improvement in thermal efficiency, validating the effectiveness of the proposed design for thermal solar energy applications.

    Numerical and experimental study of a parabolic trough solar collector Receiver

    This study presents an in-depth analysis of the Parabolic Trough Collector (PTC) system, focusing on its individual components and their performance. The research includes a comprehensive literature review and recent studies, along with an experimental case study, complemented by simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics. The objective is to evaluate the efficiency and feasibility of PTC systems for solar energy applications. Through experimental data and simulation results, this work aims to provide insights into optimizing PTC design and operation.
