This work has presented the approach used to simulate a designed turbine through an algorithm we implemented in a code, then using CFD to investigate the performance of the machine. The CFDmethod by using the ANSYS CFX tool (TurboGrid, Pre, CFX, Solver Manager and CFD Post) showed accurate and solid results by using a robust turbulence model K ω SST for the steady flow, The results found were close to the design points with some differences due to the preliminary simplifications. The simulation allowed us to create a performance MAP for one stage turbine design, in the end a simulation of the whole full configuration turbine design was made to have an overview of the complete machine in high-fidelity models.
