Abstract
This master's thesis is for the application of hyperspectral imaging as an alternative method for geological mapping in Algeria. Geological mapping is importantin understanding the Earth's resources and geological features, particularly in Algeria with its diverse geological formations and valuable mineral resources. The limitations of the Alsat-1 satellite system for geological mapping in Algeria are identified, prompting the exploration of hyperspectral imaging as a potential solution.
The study aim to evaluate the effectiveness of hyperspectral data in accurately identifying and mapping geological features. Practical implementation involves processing and analyzing hyperspectral data using software tools such as ENVI and ArcGIS. The findings of this research contribute to the understanding of Algeria's geological formations and highlight the benefits of hyperspectral imaging for precise geological mapping.
